Sept 2nd & 3rd, Eastbourne
Ashby players Richard Sanville and Andy Sherwood both played in the GC B-level final at Eastbourne, a Champions League-style event in which the winners of the individual B-Level tournaments throughout the season compete against each other.
It was quite an intensive weekend of 15 games, i.e. all-play-all within the field of 16.
Unfortunately Richard and Andy were unable to replicate their successes from earlier in the season, and the event was won by Robert Cook of Cheam.
