Arthur, Judith and Penny were the Ashby players in our final Advantage GC match of the season, played in pleasant warm sunny conditions at Moira. Nottingham won the match 9-3 with 8 game wins and two draws, and their high-handicap players played really well.
The games were quite interactive and, in contrast to the Woodhall Spa match, every round had at least one game that ran to the 60-minute time limit, meaning a prolonged match of almost 6.5 hours in total including breaks.
This means Ashby finish the season with 1 win (v Branston), 2 draws (v Gainsborough and Woodhall Spa) and 2 losses (v Leicester and Nottingham).
