This year saw the welcome return of Leicester to the 14-point competition, joining regulars Ashby and Nottingham, in this handicap singles event for teams of three players.
There were three rounds of games, each round comprising four singles games. With an odd number of players overall (3 x 3) this meant one player had to sit out each round. By the end of the day, each club had played a total of eight games.
The result was very close – the Ashby team of Adam, Heather and Paul finishing with 5 wins, closely followed by Nottingham on 4 and Leicester on 3.
All nine players won at least one game, and Paul was the only player to win all his games along with a handicap reduction to 16.
Ashby therefore retain the 14-point AC salver, now in the possession of Adam.
