The Ashby team of Mick (3), Heather (5) and Peter R (6) competed against a Branston side with handicaps in the 7 to 12 range, meaning that in most games Ashby started with a negative score.
Most of the games were surprisingly one-sided, nine of the 12 games finishing with a winning margin of 3 or more, including one game which Branston won by 7 to -1, and another in which Heather scored eight hoops in a row.
The overall match result was very close though, with all three results possible going into the final round, but Ashby won through 7-5 in the end.
