Mick Haytack and Richard Sanville were the Ashby representatives in the Charity One-Ball AC Final at Nottingham on Coronation Day, Mick being the qualifier from our One Ball Plus club heat, and Richard having an invitation place. This was one of two parallel national finals, the other one being at Surbiton the following day.
Mark Innes from Nottingham won the event for the second year running with 6 wins out of 7, and Richard was one of three players who finished on 5 wins from 7 games. Richard won the three-way “nearest the centre peg” shootout to claim runner-up spot and received a glass goblet.
