On Easter Monday, 24 members took part in the first club competition of the season; the Easter Eggstra.
The weather forecast was dismal but fortune favoured us, as both morning and afternoon play was in fine weather with everyone sheltering from heavy rain and hail whilst lunching.
Playing doubles over five rounds with a different partner each game, our worthy winner was Jenny with 12 points. Jane T was second with 11 points (4.5 wins) narrowly beating Andy (a new member) also with 11 points but with 3 wins. Jenny and Jane received appropriately-sized chocolate eggs with Andy, Arthur, Eileen and Julie, as next in line, receiving a small chocolate rabbit. Everyone else dipped into the bowl of small eggs as reward for their efforts.
