Sun 6th March
Six croquet members and visitors enjoyed a six-mile walk on a nice late winter/early spring day, starting at the National Forest youth hostel across the road from the club, and walking via Shortheath, Overseal and Linton Heath, and back via Tunnel Woods alongside the old Leicester railway line. We finished back at the YHA café for welcome refreshments of tea and toasted tea cakes, apart from Tim who decided the 6 miles wasn’t sufficient and continued with a further 10+ mile trek back to Tamworth!
