Main season starts on Sunday 27th March

Our main season starts on Sunday, the start of British Summer Time, which this year is coincidentally Mother’s Day – so it’s possible that some of you may be otherwise engaged.

For those that are able to come – the first club session starts at 2pm on Sunday. There will be tea and cake available – courtesy of Lesley and team. She has asked for not too much extra cake to be brought over and above what she has organised already, although Judith will be bringing a banana bread as it’s her birthday on Sunday. And it looks like the good weather will hold until early next week.

At present, the club sessions will be:

Sunday 2-5pm

Tuesday 4-7pm

Wednesday 11-1pm

Thursday 3-6pm

From the beginning of May (when there’s enough daylight) the Tuesday session will move an hour later to the 5-8pm slot that was so popular last summer. There will be some lawn closures during the week for maintenance and watering should it be needed.

The lawn booking system will remain in place – so you are at liberty to book games at any other times where the lawns are available. If you haven’t got access to the lawn booking system and you would like it then please shout up. I will be taking a look at it in the next few days and try to get everyone onto it.

Expect some more communication soon on the upcoming Ashby clothing order and also one on setting handicaps for the new players.

Thanks & regards
Arthur
