As in previous years, we are organising a charity collection at the club’s Christmas Meal on Wednesday 8th December, in lieu of exchanging Christmas cards. Our Christmas charity this year is the mental health charity MIND, which will also be croquet’s national charity for 2022. Any donations collected at our Christmas meal will be added to the entry donations from next year’s One Ball Croquet charity club heat in late April, and then sent to the charity as one payment, Gift-Aided where possible. Thanks in advance for your support – we have already collected £20 in donations at the AGM.
We will also gladly accept donations at the New Year’s Day croquet, if you are not attending the Christmas meal.
Update 08/12/21: The charity collection at the meal has raised £136, on top of the £20 from the AGM; many thanks to everyone for their generosity and to Julie for organising another excellent Christmas dinner at the Lakeside Bistro which was attended by 28 people including many of our newer members – it was great to be able to get together again this year.
