The Easter Eggstra Golf Croquet Competition took place on Easter Monday.
Despite horrendous weather predictions we played in quite pleasant weather with occasional sunshine but no snow or rain. Ten members played.
We played 3 rounds, Mike O’ Brian was the winner after a “first to run hoop 5 from the boundary” play-off against Jane Tewson. Mike was presented with The Egg Cup but declined a chocolate egg.
Jane, Jenny and Paul all won boxed Easter eggs. All the other players won small chocolate eggs.
We would like this to become an Ashby Croquet Club event in the future for members. It will probably come up at the next Committee Meeting.
